My sister is currently a senior in high school and is a leader in her club. The other day, while on the phone with her, she explained some troubles she was having with instructing one of the other members. I kept insisting she should talk to the teachers in charge, and wondered why she wasn’t doing that. Afterward, I realized that she has leadership experience in that club that I never had in high school, and she and the other leaders must have a reason for handling the situation the way they were. She and the other leaders must feel frustrated by the situation, therefore they’re probably working to fix the problem with the ideas they have. While I may have one idea for how to handle the problem, I am no longer in high school and will therefore look at the problem differently than she does.
