In my club, we have a few members who are really into watching anime and some of the members including myself refer to them as weebs. They must have felt disheartened and hesitant to share any new information about things they enjoy. Then, I began to think about how it would make me feel if someone made fun of me for watching something that I like. I know what the feeling is like because I have experienced something similar. When I was younger, I would watch the Powerpuff Girls on TV and my friends and family would tease me because of it. They never did anything wrong and they don’t deserve to be laughed at for simply enjoying anime. I have since apologized to them.
